7:30 – 9:00pm – Spiritual Treatment, prayers and remote vibrations;

Wednesdays

7:30 – 9:00pm – Spiritist studies in English, followed by special passes*;

Sundays

10:30 – 11:30am – Room 1 – Spiritist topics for the family, followed by special passes*;

10:30 – 11:30am – Room 2 – Spiritist topics for children.

Hope to see you here!

* The application of hand passes and the usage of fluidified (energized) water, is, in its most simple definition, the transmission of vital and spiritual energies in benefit of others.

Programação de Domingo para 2013

Apresentamos a proposta de trabalho para 2013, em particular as palestras aos domingos. Our 12th Anniversary

Last Sunday, March 4, was the 12th Anniversary of Rest On The Way. We had a warm celebration!

Sobek de Alcantara spoke about the “Heroes of the Gospel”, major characters who spread love, peace and humility through their actions.

We also had a potluck, and enjoyed delicious snacks and talks.

Check out the pictures:
Thanks to all the brothers and sisters (on this side and on the other side!) that have been with us throughout these 12 years. We appreciate all the love, affection and dedication!

We wish to continue in this amazing journey together for many more years, learning and growing.

All the best,

Rest On The Way

Sobek’s talk at the III Toronto Spiritist Weekend in Toronto – Canada

The talk is in Portuguese and the theme is “Mediums and Mediumship”.
Our friends at Joanna de Angelis Spiritist Study Group recorded this and other talks so that we can watch them online in their Youtube channel.

3rd Toronto Spiritist Weekend – “Mediumship”

Christian Spiritist Centre, Joanna de Ângelis Spiritist Study Group and the Rest on the Way Spiritist Centre are sponsoring the III Toronto Spiritist Weekend on October 29-30, 2011 in Toronto, Ontario.

In homage to the 150 years Anniversary of the publication of The Mediums’ Book, by Allan Kardec, the theme for the III Toronto Spiritist Weekend is “Mediumship”.

The III Toronto Spiritist Weekend will serve as a forum for the presentation of mediumship research, the examination of various concepts as they relate to both the practical and scientific aspects of mediumship, and the exchange of ideas among researchers, students and practitioners of mediumship. We are hoping to attract a diverse audience in the hope of contributing to a better understanding of the issues, generating an enlightened and informative debate.

Guest speaker: Vanessa Anseloni

More information regarding the IIIToronto Spiritist Weekend will be published on the sponsors’ sites when it becomes available:

Special public talk on the book “I’m Back!”

Our friend Sobek de Alcântara Rebello will be making a special talk on the book “I’m Back!”, by the spirit: BROTHER JACOB, through the medium: Francisco Cândido Xavier

“… A man of unusual biography. With entrepreneur spirit, gallantly won the slippery and dangerous race of wealth. Retained the candor of the believer, the faith that moves mountains, without falling into religious fanaticism. Educated in literature and languages never deviated from the humble posture. When he was sick in the spiritual world, asked to write about what happens after death. He received permission, but encountered fluidic difficulties, due to his disturbed spiritual state at the moment, he felt offended when he was unable to communicate … He learned that each spirit answers to the effects that he or she produced in the course of time, gravitating toward the Laws which govern life. No one fools the Universal Laws. The resources from our dignification are available in various religious schools Earth. Jesus is the Absolute Minister within planet Earth… ”

We hope to see you and your friends on Sunday, September 18th at 10:30 to 11:30 to reflect together on this issue so important to the present day in our earthly lives.

Spiritism and Homosexuality

Our friend and founding member Sobek wrote a thorough article about Homosexuality and Spiritism. He talks about it from a historical perspective, as well as through the lens of the Spiritist filosophy and the result is a piece that urges us to shed our prejudices and accept our fellows in journey without judgment, as Christ himself urged us to do.
